Managing Student Anxiety in the age of COVID-19

The Parents’ Organization is pleased to offer Managing Student Anxiety in the age of COVID-19, a live virtual event exclusive to UCC parents. The presentation will feature Dean of Student Life and Wellbeing, Scott Cowie and UCC psychologist, Dr. Geoff Sorge.

Mr. Cowie and Dr. Sorge will deliver insights on their work promoting wellbeing in the UCC community. In particular, Mr. Cowie will report on UCC's comprehensive approach to supporting student wellbeing, while Dr. Sorge will speak to the impact on our boys of limited social engagement, organized group sports and activities as well the larger uncertainties of the global pandemic. Dr. Sorge will also discuss signs to look for if your son is experiencing significant stress and anxiety, offering suggestions for how to cope and explain how the boys can access his services as well as those of his colleagues in the Health Centre.
